Guys, dunno much about OLED... but the msi is 240hz too. same panel?
Nah, not quite. AOC has OLED, so you get that insane contrast and deep blacks, but it’s also more prone to burn-in. MSI is IPS, so no burn-in risk, but blacks won’t be as punchy. It’s a trade-off.
I've had the AOC AGON Pro for about 4 months now. It’s fast. 0.03ms response time is insane for FPS. You notice it immediately, but, if you leave the same static HUD on screen too long, you might see some burn in. Soooo, for long gaming sessions with static elements, you need to be careful. Still, for fast paced shooters, it’s nice
Yeah, I had the same issue. I switched to the ASUS ROG PG279QM. It’s IPS, so no burn in worries, and honestly, the HDR is better too. The AOC might have better contrast, but the ASUS feels more solid for long term use
Interesting... I play a lot of Valorant, so speed matters. Do you think the AOC is still worth it despite the burn-in risk?
For Valorant, AOC is perfect 240Hz, OLED clarity, no motion blur. Just make sure you tweak your settings to avoid static elements being on screen too long. If you’re gaming for hours with static HUDs, yeah, burn in could be a problem, but for fast games, it’s a beast
